WHAT TO EXPECT

 

Every minute of every day, thousands of parts and materials from all over the world are shipped and delivered to our plants, ready to be utilised on our production lines within hours. At the same time, hundreds of customers from across the globe are handed the keys to their newly transported vehicles. A feat like this doesn’t just happen. Behind this momentous undertaking are our Material Planning and Logistics team (MP&L), coordinating on a massive scale to ensure our engines continue to roll smoothly off the production lines and into the hands of the customers awaiting them.

 

Reporting into the Supply Chain Launch Supervisor and assuming a key role within the Engine Manufacturing Centre (EMC) MP&L team, you’ll use your highly developed planning & project management skills to look after the procurement of pre-production parts. Using your negotiation and influencing skills you’ll ensure the early interaction with suppliers to overcome logistics & commercial issues to enable key milestones and objectives to be achieved.

 

You’ll work collaboratively with Jaguar Land Rover support departments at senior levels to ensure parts are available to cover demanding launch requirements. As well as developing and preparing the departments KPI’s and scorecards, overseeing the tight control of stockholding levels and effectively managing the supplier on-boarding process within the department.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

 

You’ll have a thorough understanding of Change Control, Inventory and Logistics processes within a Manufacturing environment with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels to be able to establish good working relationships with key stakeholders. You’ll have a customer focused approach and good organisational skills with the ability to multi task and manage changing priorities within a fast paced, high pressured environment.

 

Applications are welcomed from self-motivated and determined individuals who have demonstrable experience within a similar role. Knowledge of SAP and educated to a degree level would be preferred, however applications from experienced candidates without this will still be considered.
