Continually pushing the boundaries of innovation and redefining the benchmark for excellence, we set the standards others want to follow. We want to keep it that way too. Which is where you join the journey.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Our commitment to sourcing only the highest quality products for our vehicles has taken us all over the world. Join us, and it will be you coordinating a supplier base of thousands, ensuring the right part arrives at our plants at precisely the right time.

Every minute of every day, thousands of parts and materials from all over the world are shipped and delivered to our plants, ready to be utilised on our production lines within hours. At the same time, hundreds of customers from across the globe are handed the keys to their newly transported cars. A feat like this does not just happen. Behind this momentous undertaking are our Material Planning & Logistics (MP&L) team, coordinating on a massive scale to ensure our vehicles continue to roll smoothly off the production lines and into the hands of the customers awaiting them.

As an MP&L Manager in either Engineering, Supply Chain or Operations, you’ll develop and design processes for material flow and lead the physical logistics strategy from supplier to line-side for Engine Manufacturing Centre (EMC) Powertrain programmes. This will include developing and executing a robust programme plan within Launch Quality Operating System (LQOS) principles to guarantee a flawless launch.

The role will also encompass leading the planning resource of a material handling strategic partner (Lead Logistics Partner) to achieve right part, right place at right time in a minimal inventory environment. The Engineering team will drive value stream mapping (VSM), benchmarking and best in class (BiC) for both operations and facility needs. As such, this role is accountable for the success of the end to end logistics operation.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

In your role as a Material Planning and Logistics Manager you'll have knowledge of material flows and physical logistics operations and their inter-relationships with manufacturing. You'll be able to work independently, manage priorities, and identify issues and solutions using your own initiative and have a strong desire to make a difference to your team and the wider business. You'll also be comfortable challenging and be able to use your engagement skills to influence varying stakeholders and suppliers to ensure a premium service is provided. Along with these skills, you'll have experience of project management and process improvement, and possess a keen eye for detail.

BENEFITS

Bring all this to the home of premium innovation, and you’ll find the opportunities to further your career with a world-class team, a discounted car purchase and lease scheme for you and your family, membership of a competitive pension plan, private medical cover and a performance-related bonus scheme. As a manager, you’ll also be able to select one of our luxury premium vehicles to lease at a fraction of the cost. All this and more makes Jaguar Land Rover the perfect place to continue your journey.

Jaguar Land Rover is committed to equal opportunity for all.
