WHAT TO EXPECT
Physical Modelling is a multi-disciplined department with specialist teams working in both digital and physical specialism. We have CAD, Scanning, Additive and Machining, Clay Modelling, Hard Modelling, Electrical, Trim and Paint as well as Project and Business Planning. The team is responsible for producing all physical assets used in the Creative development process.
Producing anything from small swatches to full show cars. Working with the creative teams across all House of Brands. The role of Project Supervisor will be to deliver projects/physical assets used to support the Design product development process. Typically, this will involve the identification; planning and co-ordination of specific projects at Gaydon and at suppliers to support a whole range of customers in Design, from studio-based designers to C&M designers.
WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
• Deliver projects utilising project management techniques to ensure the delivery and achievement of planned outcomes to support the achievement of strategic business objectives at Gaydon
• Work on projects and work streams; from scoping to delivery and including cross-functional engagement and stakeholder management ensuring project delivery to required timescale, quality and cost
• Work with the operational business to understand current processes and to document and prioritise requirements for changes and additions
• Work with the operational business on where step changes can be introduced and included in the project
• Support adherence to Operational Acceptance processes, with smooth project transition to Service Delivery
• Use lean project management principles in order to develop more effective and efficient ways of working
• Undertake and support scenario planning as required
• Manage stakeholders to ensure projects add value and are aligned to stakeholder expectations
• Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Essential:
• Previous experience in a similar role in Project Management with track record of delivery
• Previous experience using project management software ideally WRIKE
• Methodical detailed approach to work context
• Analytical skills to identify how one issue can impact on another and put in place the required interventions through support or from own knowledge base
• Experience of Problem Resolution using structured approaches
• Ability to manage risks and issues
• Negotiation and adaptability skills
