WHAT TO EXPECT

 
This role is responsible to support the definition; development and delivery of Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) systems, consisting of multiple hardware and software components, into JLR vehicles for our exciting, all new, Electrified Architecture platform

 

Key responsibilities will include:
 

  • Generation of targets and verification methods that are driven by Customer, Function Requirements and Functional Failure Analysis
  • Contribute to the delivery of the powertrain into vehicle programmes, in line with the Systems Engineering discipline outlined by Product Creation System.
  • Provide technical support and assistance across the operational team on topics relating to the integration and harmonisation of multiple interconnected components including issue resolution and objective data analysis
  • Work with Technical Specialists and Subject Matter Experts on Attribute and Function Forward Strategies, including new Function Definition and Requirements
  • Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested

 

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED


As the BEV Propulsion Hardware System engineer you will need to have knowledge and experience working within an automotive powertrain system engineering environment.


ESSENTIAL

 

  • Relevant experience of working in a Systems Engineering environment – ideally within the Powertrain Sector
  • Relevant experience of system definition, system architecture development, requirements specification, design/ performance modelling, systems integration, system assessment and acceptance
  • Experience in applying Systems Engineering and in solving complex technical issues using a structured approach
  • Experience of problem-solving tools such as Six Sigma, FMEA or similar
