An ever-evolving heritage. A truly exciting future. Two of the world’s most iconic brands. Jaguar Land Rover is revered across the globe. Continually pushing the boundaries of innovation and redefining the benchmark for excellence, we set the standards others want to follow. We want to keep it that way too. Which is where you join the journey.

As a Vehicle Fitter you’ll be responsible for the creation and modification of fuel and cooling test rigs, as well as the use of vehicle software interfaces to undertake automotive electrical diagnostics and repairs.  You’ll support powertrain related vehicle repairs, updates and modifications.

You’ll also be responsible for the diagnosis, repair and replacement of powertrain components; including engine, transmission driveline, exhausts and fuel system. In this role you’ll prepare and test powertrain assemblies on all Jaguar Land Rover products, including the fitting of various levels of instrumentation. You’ll be required to regularly service vehicles, carry out repairs on test engines and deliver machined/fabricated parts.

There is also the opportunity to support overseas vehicle test trips, including working both as a team and individually to provide technical assistance and rectification on test vehicles.

You’ll demonstrate safe working practices at all times in line with the company’s ‘destination zero’ policies and you’ll understand the responsibility for yourself and others in the workplace.

Like us, you’re passionate about quality and process improvement. Your ability to carry out fault diagnostics and resolve problems will be fundamental to achieving your objectives. On top of this, you'll hold a recognised automotive apprenticeship, or a level 3 automotive qualification alongside experience and knowledge of working with 12 volt electricity would be an advantage.

You’ll be collaborative by nature, will support others, and will have a ‘can do, will do’ attitude, to ensure that the workflow targets are met.  Previous experience within a similar role is desirable, however not essential combined with your advanced vehicle skills will be key to success within this role.  You must also hold a full UK driving licence.

Bring all this to the home of premium innovation, and you will find the opportunities to further your career with a world-class team, a privilege car purchase scheme, membership of a competitive pension plan and paid holiday entitlement. This and more makes Jaguar Land Rover the perfect place to continue your journey
