SALARY: £32,416 to £40,000

Using state-of-the-art facilities, you’ll provide the power behind our vehicles working in our Powertrain Engineering team. You'll find the ideal balance between performance and sustainability, while responding to the environmental issues that shape our industry.

As a member of the Traction Power Electronics team, who undertake verification and validation work in both test cell and vehicle proving ground environments, you’ll be responsible for the verification and validation of traction power electronics in support of Jaguar Land Rover’s future electrified powertrains.

As our Verification and Validation Engineer you’ll also configure and maintain the power electronics development and validation toolchain, developing and optimising the power electronics test and development engineering process, along with the generation of toolchain best practice documentation.

In addition you’ll further support during rig and vehicle builds; investigating and implementing test automation as well as leading resolution of key development and quality issues.



You’ll bring your degree in automotive engineering or similar experience in powertrain testing and development. You’ll be experienced operating within powertrain test cell and vehicle proving ground environments and have knowledge of electrified powertrain architectures (HEV, MHEV, PHEV, BEV). 

An appreciation of critical traction power electronic interfaces (E-machine, HV Battery, Powertrain Control Module) is welcome, coupled with an understanding of failure mode avoidance techniques and their application in product development.
