WHAT TO EXPECT 
The Tooling and Pressed Parts Engineering Group is responsible for sheet metal tooling programs, facilities and technologies for all Jaguar Land Rover vehicles. This includes managing the design, manufacture, and successful launch of tooling into our nominated press facilities as well as being responsible for the running of stamping operations.
 
As Tooling Supervisor, you’ll be overseeing a toolroom within the West Midlands stamping operations. You’ll provide support to the press shop to maximise production efficiencies, die maintenance, and all associated equipment in the toolroom.  You’ll also be responsible for first line response to requests, part quality, die performance, Total Productive Maintenance, and corrective maintenance.
 
Adhering to health and safety procedures, you’ll lead the team to carry out Total Productive Maintenance and corrective maintenance to press tooling. Managing all toolroom equipment, you’ll have responsibility for automation projects, maintenance, and improvements. Alongside operational teams in the press shop, you’ll support the achievement of quality and performance targets.
 
WHAT YOU’LL NEED 
You’ll need the ability to provide day to day supervision to the toolroom to ensure a safe and efficient performance is delivered within a framework.  You’ll also have experience of supervising teams to meet production targets in a Manufacturing environment. With a thorough understanding of press tool design, methods, and technologies, you’ll also need familiarity with key processes, facilities, and technologies used throughout the pressed parts process chain. A relevant degree or equivalent experience would also be preferred.
