WHAT TO EXPECT

Here, you’ll design, develop, and shape the future of our electronic systems by helping us find visionary developments in everything from hybrid vehicles and infotainment to advanced electronic systems integration and electrics.

The purpose of this role is to coordinate and lead the software integration of the premium Jaguar Land Rover Infotainment System. This will involve operating in a cross-functional organisation and with multiple external partners to ensure robust software is integrated and built into a world-class infotainment system.

Reporting to the relevant infotainment Manager, the Lead Software Integration Engineer will be responsible for reporting the integration status with internal and external stakeholders and driving the integration to meet time and quality requirements.

You’ll be expected to build the infrastructure file system middleware along with a high level of coding.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

To excel in this highly technical role, you’ll need excellent knowledge of software engineering and development including Linux, GIT, GITHUB, middleware applications, open source technology tools, and building kernels. This should be complemented with strong experience of large-scale embedded software systems.

In addition, you’ll need the ability to write scripts in Python or Perl to automate SW-build activities along with proficiency in a number of software version control systems-related tools. You’ll also possess a good level of project management experience including being comfortable challenging cross-functionally and at a variety of levels within the business.

As the ideal candidate, you’ll also have experience of cloud-based AWS architecture and continuous integration.

BENEFITS

Bring all this to the home of premium innovation, and you’ll find the opportunities to further your career with a world-class team, a discounted car purchase and lease scheme for you and your family, membership of a competitive pension plan, and a performance-related bonus scheme. All this and more makes Jaguar Land Rover the perfect place to continue your journey.
