An ever-evolving heritage. A truly exciting future. Two of the world’s most iconic brands. Jaguar Land Rover is revered across the globe. Continually pushing the boundaries of innovation and redefining the benchmark for excellence, we set the standards others want to follow. We want to keep it that way too. Which is where you join the journey.

WHAT TO EXPECT

As the IT Senior Portfolio & Programmes Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing existing and new project teams to deliver a portfolio of approved property IT infrastructure and workplace projects. You’ll have accountability for delivering large programmes as well as maintaining delivery standards across the wider portfolio, managing teams effectively and prioritising tasks accordingly in order to deliver projects efficiently to time, cost and quality.

More specifically, you’ll be accountable for the identification, planning and coordination of a portfolio of change projects within the IT function, ensuring priorities, interdependencies and resources are managed effectively.

You’ll proactively plan and optimise resources in line with business change priorities and in partnership with the IT Product owner, so that a realistic delivery programme is established and maintained.  In addition, you’ll lead a programme team of IT professionals, monitoring progress through regular reviews and maintaining close contact with all stakeholders.

Working upstream with the IT Property Product Leads, you’ll be required to understand proposals in the pipeline and ensure smooth transition into a new project within the portfolio, ensuring that business stakeholders are managed on all the projects within the portfolio. You’ll also work downstream with the Service Delivery Manager(s) to ensure engagement occurs at appropriate points throughout the lifecycle of the projects in the portfolio and that the effective handover to operational support is managed as projects deliver and close.

You’ll ensure that the programme/portfolio is managed to realise business benefits and that stakeholders are informed by an awareness of current technical developments.  This includes monitoring and reporting programme/portfolio performance (cost, timing, resources, deliverables and risks) in line with Jaguar Land Rover delivery methodology.  In addition, you’ll manage third party suppliers, ensuring adherence to operational acceptance processes and that they are delivered timely into Service Delivery.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

You’ll be a commercial leader, with experience specifically in the Property/Facilities arena, including delivery of entire site IT developments from start to finish.  Extensive project management experience is also required, with a track record of successful delivery, covering planning (operational and financial), analysis, design, test, deployment and operation.

You’ll have experience of vendor management and outsourcing, with the ability to successfully interact with senior stakeholders.  In addition, you’ll have experience of leading diverse teams, complex engagements, mentoring and coaching junior staff to maximise performance.  You’ll have an awareness of IT network and/or workplace solutions and concepts, as well as construction / facilities delivery methodologies and gateway processes e.g. RIBA

Jaguar Land Rover considers that this role does not meet the criteria to be considered within the Home Office Shortage Occupation list.  Therefore, Jaguar Land Rover will not support an application for visa sponsorship and all applicants for this role must have an unrestricted right to work for an indefinite period in the UK.

Bring all this to the home of premium innovation, and you will find the opportunities to further your career with a world-class team. As well as the impressive benefits that all our employees receive (including a privilege car purchase scheme, competitive pension scheme and 26 days holiday entitlement), there are some additional benefits open to our Senior Managers. This includes access to our highly competitive Employee Car Ownership (ECO) scheme which provides two cars (either two Jaguar/Land Rover vehicles or one Jaguar/Land Rover vehicle and one Ford brand car) at extremely favourable cost compared to traditional company car lease schemes. In addition to the car scheme we provide private health cover (which includes travel insurance) and performance-related bonus schemes. All this and more makes Jaguar Land Rover the perfect place to continue your journey.

Jaguar Land Rover is committed to equal opportunity for all.
