Joining our research function based at Warwick University, your key responsibilities as a Human Machine Interface lead will be to support and lead a variety of research projects, including autonomous vehicles, machine learning, V2X, digital experiences, intelligent mobility, materials and smart surfaces, vehicle structures, and electrification. This will be achieved using blue sky research, new technology investigation, and university-based research. Developing proof of concept demonstrations and evaluating platforms, you’ll cover mechanical, electrical, and software concepts to further Human Machine Interface research.


Supporting liaison for new technology investigation and project delivery, you’ll run user trials and technology evaluation events, as well as carrying out benchmarking and background research of technologies and devices that support research projects and future technology. You’ll also take part in peer review for projects, providing feedback and liaising with other project-related stakeholders throughout the organisation.




You’ll join the team with a background in researching relevant technologies, displaying strong technical and development expertise. You’ll have knowledge of engineering disciplines including electric and mechanical engineering, computer science, and mathematics. You’ll be used to resolving issues in a team environment, and providing reports to a non-technical audience.


Ideally you’ll have worked in a research role in an automotive environment, and you’ll have an understanding of Technology Creation Development Systems or the research processes used within our business. Previous experience of working with universities and research partners is beneficial.
