An ever-evolving heritage. A truly exciting future. Two of the world’s most iconic brands. Jaguar Land Rover is revered across the globe. Continually pushing the boundaries of innovation and redefining the benchmark for excellence, we set the standards others want to follow. We want to keep it that way too. Which is where you join the journey.

Suspension. Engine mounts. Wheels and tyres. To provide an exceptional driving experience, every chassis component needs be honed to perfection. That takes all kinds of people, from designers to project managers.

The Suspension Systems Architecture (SSA) team is responsible for the design, analysis and release of vehicle chassis structural components, including suspension links, knuckles, bearings, bushes and frames. This includes developing and implementing system and component strategies, developing detailed designs and delivering engineering sign-off against customer requirements. Within SSA the Frames teams have the responsibility for the design, analysis, development and release of front and rear subframes, structural undertrays and braces, transmission cable and cooling pack protectors.

As the CAE Project Engineer you’ll be responsible for new subframe design analysis, as well as CAE support and validation, from initial concept, through all virtual design phases and into production. Working as a design service provider, you’ll play a leading role within the team of frames design engineers and analysts to achieve targets for cost, weight, functional performance and quality. In addition you’ll use your design knowledge to capture and support on technique development projects.

It is essential that you have experience of structural CAE analysis, including application onto automotive chassis or similar components. You’ll also have proven CAE analysis and software experience, with the ability to deliver analysis and guide the engineering with minimal supervision.

Along with a demonstrable ability to design in context within a complex team environment, you’ll also have working knowledge of CAD modelling software and the ability to interpret structural test and analysis data to drive design development.

Finally you’ll have a mechanical design background, an engineering degree in a relevant subject, and it will be highly beneficial if you bring CATIA V5 or V6 modelling experience.

Bring all this to the home of premium innovation, and you’ll find the opportunities to further your career with a world-class team, a discounted car purchase and lease scheme for you and your family, membership of a competitive pension plan, and performance related bonus scheme. All this and more makes Jaguar Land Rover the perfect place to continue your journey.

Jaguar Land Rover is committed to equal opportunities for all.
