LOCATION: Coventry, West Midlands

Using state-of-the-art facilities, you’ll provide the power behind our vehicles as you work in our Powertrain Engineering team. You'll find the ideal balance between performance and sustainability, while responding to the environmental issues that shape our industry.

Located within the Product Development - Powertrain department the PT-606 EMS APC team is responsible for the advanced development activities for engine management systems. The team performs the upfront analysis and development of new features and technologies to enable their progression to the delivery teams and support the delivery of Core Engine programmes. Team members need a wide range of both technical and soft skills to perform their role effectively.

Powertrain Control Systems Requirement Leaders are required to lead the development of control systems for our in-house developed range of engines. These roles form the key of our investment into delivering state of the art, robust control systems for these innovative engines.

Seven individual roles are open covering the key controls functions within the engine management system which are Gasoline Combustion, Diesel Combustion, Air Path, Fuel Path, Thermal Management, Torque Management and Emissions After-treatment.

These roles directly map into the Powertrain Function teams, which have the responsibility of delivering systems across hardware and software. The successful candidate will also take an active role within the corresponding function team.

You’ll need a strong background in engine management systems in additional to technical knowledge in at least one of the seven individual role criteria of Gasoline Combustion, Diesel Combustion, Air Path, Fuel Path, Thermal Management, Torque Management or Emissions After-treatment.

The successful applicant should have an Engineering Degree and ideally have experience in the development of embedded control software at feature and system level for automotive applications.

Bring all this to the home of premium innovation, and you’ll find the opportunities to further your career with a world-class team, a discounted car purchase and lease scheme for you and your family, membership of a competitive pension plan and a performance-related bonus scheme. All this and more makes Jaguar Land Rover the perfect place to continue your journey.
