An ever-evolving heritage. A truly exciting future. Two of the world’s most iconic brands. Jaguar Land Rover is revered across the globe. Continually pushing the boundaries of innovation and redefining the benchmark for excellence, we set the standards others want to follow. We want to keep it that way too. Which is where you join the journey.

Using state-of-the-art facilities, you’ll provide the power behind our vehicles working in our Powertrain Engineering team. You'll find the ideal balance between performance and sustainability while responding to the environmental issues that shape our industry.

As Methodology Engineer, you'll be part of a team tasked with understanding and adapting hybrid and electric vehicle propulsion systems to fulfil a suite of tests as defined by the vehicle programme, including powertrain systems and full-vehicle testing.

Day to day, you’ll provide an end-to-end service to internal customers, taking a test request and transferring it to a working and commissioned test facility generating data. The team will then define the system from the test request and produce sufficient information from which a facility can be built, signed off, and run on test.

To succeed in this role, you’ll have previously worked with computer systems to enable automated test activity, and you’ll have the ability to provide technical input to engineering programmes and processes. In addition, you’ll possess experience of mechanical, electrical, or systems design and knowledge of complex system integration, ideally complemented with knowledge of AVL PUMA.

You’ll be educated to a degree level in mechanical (all disciplines), electrical, electronics, controls, or systems engineering and be skilled in the application of problem-solving techniques, drawing on your fault-finding skills and project planning and management capabilities.

Bring all this to the home of premium innovation, and you’ll find the opportunities to further your career with a world-class team, a discounted car purchase and lease scheme for you and your family, membership of a competitive pension plan, and a performance-related bonus scheme. All this and more makes Jaguar Land Rover the perfect place to continue your journey.

The successful candidate for the above role will retain their current employer, i.e. if you are a Jaguar employee you will continue to be administered on the Jaguar grading structure with the associated terms and conditions. If you are a Land Rover employee you will continue to be administered on the Land Rover grading structure with the associated terms and conditions.

Jaguar Land Rover is committed to equal opportunity for all.
