WHAT TO EXPECT

This team is one of the most experienced of its type in the UK, and has the knowledge and talent to hold its own against the best body engineers anywhere in the world. From iconic body styling to interior detail, from doors and windows to whole cabin systems, everything about our vehicles has to be perfect. It is what customers expect from a luxury brand. It's what this team makes happen. Join them, and you’ll help us to stay at the forefront of vehicle innovation and research, and to build on our position as a highly competitive brand in a highly competitive marketplace.

In this role you will lead the optical design of new Exterior Lighting signal lighting functions. You will help coordinate their development, virtual testing, and introduction within new Exterior Lighting lamp systems.

Operating in a cross-functional organisation, Lead Optical Lighting Engineers will report into the relevant Group Leaders and deliver on specific vehicle programmes. You will need to deliver the commodity plan to quality, cost and time constraints, and to lead the technical integrity of specific components across specific programmes.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

With a passion for the automotive industry, although you may work in another technical industry, you already have proven experience of lighting optical design and development, and leading technical issues within a project environment, maybe for an OEM or a Lighting Tier 1 Supplier. You already have good knowledge of product creation and delivery, change control, product definition, and change management. Previous experience of Synopsys LightTools is essential.

Bring all this to the home of premium innovation, and you will find the opportunities to further your career with a world-class team.
