As Lead Engineer for Safety Components you'll develop advanced feature strategies and define safety components in a unique and evolving department within Body Engineering. You'll define strategies for airbags, seat belts, and steering wheels, and you'll be exposed to a variety of components, systems, suppliers and functions driving robustness and quality into the safety components team.

 

The Cabin and Safety Systems department has complete responsibility for the design and development of Jaguar Land Rover interior cabin and safety systems from concept design through to volume production. You'll be responsible the technical assumptions, cost, quality and weight are compatible with design, engineering and attribute teams.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

 

You'll have some Vehicle Safety knowledge and will have knowledge of airbags, seatbelts, or steering wheels as a safety component and system. Experience of working on component projects is essential, whether that is within automotive or another similar technical industry, such as aerospace. Experience of CAD or CAE is desirable
