WHAT TO EXPECT

 

Using state-of-the-art facilities, you’ll provide the power behind our vehicles working in our Powertrain Engineering team. You'll find the ideal balance between performance and sustainability, while responding to the environmental issues that shape our industry.

 

As the Lead Engineer for Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEV), you'll be leading the definition, development and delivery of harmonised systems solutions, consisting of multiple interconnected components, into our vehicles for Electrified Technology on D8 platform, focusing mainly Plug in Hybrid Technology. You'll be the single point of contact for the technology at a system level, with strong system level understanding and ownership of EP-E technical integration and compatibility for hardware and software. You'll be responsible for system level requirements and target creation, cascading, and compatibility.

 

You'll need to ensure cascaded sub-system and component requirements are accepted and appropriate Design Verification Plans in place. You'll also own system Failure Mode Analysis/Avoidance and ensure the output captured in sub-system Failure Mode Effect Analysis. Finally, you'll be responsible for technical system level AIMS.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

 

You'll have relevant experience of working in a Systems Engineering environment, delivering system definition, system architecture development, requirements specification, design/performance modelling, systems integration, system assessment, and acceptance.

 

You'll have proven analytical and problem solving skills, and you'll have a track record as an effective team player with strong verbal and written communication skills
