Reporting to the Global Purchasing Director this role will see you lead and manage global teams which will be responsible for defining the external supply chain for Jaguar Land Rover suppliers.  You will lead a team of Global Strategic Commodity Managers and Regional Purchasing Managers and have accountability for all strategy development, negotiation, contracting, sourcing and post sourcing/contracting management activities for Aftermarket commodities and suppliers on behalf of Jaguar Land Rover.

You will support the Global Strategic Commodity Managers and Global Strategic Buyers in the development and execution of commodity and supply chain strategies and develop and execute key performance indicators across the designated regional suppliers and deliver a step change in current performance to the Jaguar Land Rover Aftermarket parts business.

This role is also pivotal in interfacing with other key functions within Jaguar Land Rover and acts as a core conduit for true cross functional working across Production Purchasing, Customer Service Commercial and Supply Chain teams, Supplier Technical Assistance, Service Engineering, Cost Engineering and Programme teams.

In the role you’ll be accountable for global commodity strategy development and deployment to deliver programme and company cost, quality and technology targets in line with strategic commodity segmentation, aligned with production Purchasing for common commodities and solely responsible for AM unique commodities

You will also be responsible for sourcing in line with commodity strategy through the AM New part sourcing process ensuring guardrail and KPI adherence and lead supplier relationships for designated commodities.  You will implement purchasing strategies through your relationships with the designated suppliers ensuring that they meet Jaguar Land Rover quality, delivery, cost and responsiveness requirements and manage the designated Commodities and Suppliers in regional ensuring that Jaguar Land Rover technology requirements and manufacturing strategies are being followed.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

You will be degree qualified or with significant equivalent experience, and will have strong previous leadership experience in a complex global purchasing, logistics or supply chain role.  Ideally, you will have blue-chip experience – gained from within Automotive, Engineering or semi related sectors.  It is important that you have experience of delivering complex supply chain solutions in a fast-paced, high pressured environment.

You’ll need a global outlook and exposure to different challenges, cultures and ways of working, with a proven track record in delivering results in both favourable and unfavourable conditions.  You will be able to demonstrate where you have developed and deployed extensive personal and professional networks.
