The department has complete responsibility for the design and development of all Jaguar and Land Rover interior and exterior systems from concept design through to volume production. With an increasing emphasis on virtual development techniques, the department utilises advanced CAD and CAE to support the product development process.

 

A role within Body Engineering involves working with a wide range of materials and construction techniques, challenging functional and cost targets and significant liaison with all internal areas of our business as well as external component and system suppliers.

 

This exciting role would suit an ambitious Mechanical Engineer who is looking to develop their career at Jaguar Land Rover. You’ll support the Group Leader on projects within the Body-in-White, Hinge, and Check groups to meet program design solutions including quality, cost, timing and weight. You’ll review design verification, optical quality, and premium customer product requirements in line with pre-defined targets and engineering gateways.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

 

You will be an experienced Mechanical Engineer with knowledge of commodity design and development environments. Ideally, you’ll have existing experience of Door Mechanisms, Hinge and Check, or Body-in-White within automotive or another technical industry. Knowledge of Kinematics and CATIA V5 experience is beneficial.
