WHAT TO EXPECT

Using state-of-the-art facilities, you’ll provide the power behind our vehicles working in our Powertrain Engineering team. You'll find the ideal balance between performance and sustainability while responding to the environmental issues that shape our industry.

The Powertrain Driveline Controls is an area with a continuously increasing level of complexity to meet the energy consumption requirements whilst maintaining the class leading off road and vehicle dynamics attribute requirements.

The Powertrain Driveline Controls team is responsible for the specification and integration of the Driveline Controls hardware and software. The scope of the team includes twin-speed transfer case (longitudinal architectures), active/torque vectoring rear differential (longitudinal architectures), driveline disconnect systems, rear torque-on-demand/torque-vectoring drive unit (transverse architectures), and electric drive unit auxiliary systems (PHEV/BEV derivatives) including park lock, disconnect, and twin speed.

The team has expertise in the following areas: systems engineering, HiL verification, diagnostics, power electronics, driving dynamics, off-road attributes, actuator control, and hydraulics. The department has a wide technical breath which covers the full lifecycle from pre-sourcing definition to engineering sign-off.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Taking this role, you’ll support the Driveline Systems Lead Engineer primarily in the development of the auxiliary control systems on the next generation of electric drive units for the future electric vehicles. With this generation of drive unit just entering the concept development phase, your role has the potential to be very diverse and to evolve during the programme development and concept definition.

Depending on your experience and level of aptitude, the role has the potential to develop to reduce reliance on a technical service provider and tier-1 drive unit supplier for EDU auxiliary controls.

BENEFITS

Bring all this to the home of premium innovation, and you’ll find the opportunities to further your career with a world-class team, a discounted car purchase and lease scheme for you and your family, membership of a competitive pension plan, and a performance-related bonus scheme. All this and more makes Jaguar Land Rover the perfect place to continue your journey.

Jaguar Land Rover is committed to equal opportunity for all.
