An ever-evolving heritage. A truly exciting future. Two of the world’s most iconic brands. Jaguar Land Rover is revered across the globe. Continually pushing the boundaries of innovation and redefining the benchmark for excellence, we set the standards others want to follow. We want to keep it that way too. Which is where you join the journey.

This team is one of the most experienced of its type in the UK, and has the knowledge and talent to hold its own against the best body engineers anywhere in the world. From iconic body styling to interior detail, from doors and windows to whole cabin systems, everything about our vehicles has to be perfect. It is what customers expect from a luxury brand. It's what this team makes happen. Join them, and you’ll help us to stay at the forefront of vehicle innovation and research, and to build on our position as a highly competitive brand in a highly competitive marketplace.

As the Dimensional Engineer for Bumpers, you’ll lead system design and dimensional control activities to achieve optimised design and best in class craftsmanship. You’ll lead the team in analysing and optimising the variation and processes, and report their capability to meet functional and aesthetic vehicle dimension requirements to senior management. You’ll also work closely with our suppliers on tolerance specification, locator, and measurement point selection.

You’ll validate the checking and assembly fixtures for brackets and bumpers assembly and work closely with Bumper Lead Engineers and Supplier Product Development teams to develop robust engineering designs and documentation. In this challenging and rewarding role, you will have a strong drive to achieve weight and cost-efficient designs and display strategic thinking towards system design.

You'll be a technical expert in geometric dimensions and tolerances and have experience and knowledge of working with plastics and injection moulding. Experience of working on vehicle bumper projects then this is highly beneficial, and experience of multiple vehicle manufacturing techniques is a must. You may have gained this experience as an STA Engineer, Quality Engineer or Product Development Engineer.

Bring all this to the home of premium innovation, and you’ll find the opportunities to further your career with a world-class team, a discounted car purchase and lease scheme for you and your family, membership of a competitive pension plan and performance related bonus scheme. All this and more makes Jaguar Land Rover the perfect place to continue your journey.
