The Product Planning department within the Global Product Marketing function is responsible for steering the long-term brand and product strategy definition and our product portfolio including the accessories offer for the Jaguar Land Rover Brands.  


Customer, Market, and Competitor benchmarking trends are analysed and distilled and inputted into global programmes to provide the foundation for successful business delivery. As part of this process, our team is responsible for gaining inputs from, and alignment with, the Regional teams.


As Competitor Insight Analyst, you’ll develop and deliver recommendations for Brand and Product Feature Improvement ideas through a variety of methods of competitor benchmarking including managing the Commercial Competitor Fleet and being the lead on AMS/Industry evaluations.


By generating reports you’ll make recommendations capturing feature benchmarking to demonstrate effectiveness and improvement opportunities, whilst collecting and analysing marketplace needs and trends to inform the direction of future brand and product evolution. In addition you’ll support with brand and product campaigns, messaging, and navigation through frequent testing and data analysis, documenting the results, and sharing best practices with the wider marketing community.

Further to this you’ll develop business cases and plans to support product definition and specification activities.



You’ll be highly driven, committed and results-orientated, and will work with pace, energy, and confidence. You’ll be able to apply analytical rigour to develop and drive well thought-out operational plans, collaborate across functions, and combine a short-term, pragmatic focus with strategic vision. You’ll need experience of successful governance of projects, delivered on time and to budget.


With previous experience of working in a brand, product or communications role you’ll have a track record of rolling out programmes through an organisation. Whilst being highly creative and innovative, you’ll have the proven ability to develop and manage brand or product programmes.
