This is the key technical department for the product creation process, leading the engineering from concept to customer. There are three parts to it: Attribute Quality and Process, Vehicle Integrity Team and Vehicle Engineering Management. Working here, you’ll give our vehicles their unique characteristics. It's all part of creating vehicles that delight customers and set us apart from the competition.


Engineering Laboratories forms the backbone of Jaguar Land Rover internal engineering laboratory operation, and are responsible for a wide and diverse range of activities including Structural Test, Body Rig Test, Road Load Data, Analytical Facilities, NVH, Climatic Test, and Safety Test.


The strategy & delivery Department are responsible for the validation of facility components, test rigs and the infrastructure required in support of the core Engineering Lab areas delivering physical test plans. The area is also responsible for the development and delivery of key new virtual engineering technology/tools for Engineering Labs project leading from concept through to delivery. These include mHIL, Hybrid Simulation via response convergence etc.


You’ll be responsible for leading and developing a team of MBS engineers to create road load data at the early stages of development cycle and work closely with physical road load data analysis team to help define system targets. You will also lead the key capability growth projects working with component/system and whole vehicle rig to generate drive signal for vehicle durability via hybrid methods.




Alongside a degree in engineering or a similar discipline, you’ll have extensive knowledge and of use of multi-body analysis software. On top of this, you’ll have experience of laboratory based physical testing techniques and facilities used to develop the delivery of Engineering and analytical projects, preferably within the automotive industry. Any experience with HIL / active system integration within 3D simulation environment is desirable.
