WHAT TO EXPECT

 

This is the key technical department for the product creation process, leading the engineering from concept to customer. There are three parts to it: Attribute Quality and Process, Vehicle Integrity Team and Vehicle Engineering Management. Working here, you’ll give our vehicles their unique characteristics. It's all part of creating vehicles that delight customers and set us apart from the competition.

 

Engineering Laboratories forms the backbone of Jaguar Landrover internal engineering laboratory operation, and are responsible for a wide and diverse range of activities including Structural Test, Body Rig Test, Road Load Data, Analytical Facilities, NVH, Climatic Test, and Safety Test.

 

The Technologies Development Department are responsible for the design and delivery of facility components, test rigs and the infrastructure required in support of the core Engineering Lab areas delivering physical test plans.  The area is also responsible for the development and delivery of key new facilities, technology, infrastructure and strategy for Engineering Labs project leading from concept through to delivery. 

 

You’ll be responsible for leading and developing a team of CAE engineers certifying that test rigs/facilities/modified vehicle components comply with structural requirements by means of analytical methods as part of the test rig design process. 

This role also involves supporting the Virtual Techniques group in developing and implementing new methodologies applied to vehicle testing.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

 

Alongside a degree in engineering or a similar discipline, you’ll have extensive knowledge and of use of pre-solving and post-processing of finite element analysis software. On top of this, you’ll have experience of laboratory based physical testing techniques and facilities used to develop the delivery of Engineering and analytical projects, preferably within the automotive industry.
