Here, you’ll design, develop and shape the future of our electronic systems, by helping us find visionary developments in everything from hybrid vehicles and infotainment to advanced electronic systems integration and electrics.

Sophisticated and technically complex, the electrical distribution systems in our vehicles are designed to the highest specifications, and when you join us, you’ll lead the team responsible for maintaining and delivering systems for a number of different models.

Your role will be to implement the simulation strategies and new processes to achieve the departmental virtual validation objectives, along with developing the plans for the team to evolve capability, exploring L4/5 rigs and new technology. Day to day, you’ll liaise with corporate HiL group users whilst supporting suppliers for provisional or relevant models, and you’ll also be providing plant models to support closed-loop simulation testing on embedded code.


To succeed, you’ll come to this role with a great technical knowledge of HiL rigs L3/L3/5, design and creation of ECUs, verification and validation of ECUs and also simulation and modelling testing. You’ll also need experience in electrical and electronics hardware and software test and have a record of using software configuration tools, and you’ll be skilled in automated test tools script writing, plant modelling and developing real-time control systems. You should round out your technical expertise with knowledge of vehicle dynamics including both active and passive chassis systems, as well as and experience in software configuration tools and an understanding of mathematical control techniques.

Though it is not essential, you’ll ideally have technical experience of MathWorks

(MATLAB, Simulink, Stateflow), dSPACE (TargetLink, ControlDesk), IPG CarMaker, Rhapsody, CANalyzer and CANoe.
