As Current Manufacturing Engineer you’ll report directly to the Body Construction Principal Engineer, working with a team of manufacturing/process engineers supporting the Body Construction function. You’ll be a champion for dimensional quality and work to ensure targets are achieved around Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost metrics.
 
You’ll play an instrumental role in leading investigations and problem resolution and applying analytical skills while delivering robust data to manage continuous improvement. Finally, you’ll ensure standardised work processes reflect the latest manufacturing standards.
 
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
You’ll have the ability to work as a team and be able to drive motivation and enthusiasm amongst others whilst having a good level of self-sufficiency. The role will require you to work cross functionally across the business so you’ll need to be able to communicate effectively to all levels of the business and with external partners.
 
You’ll need to have the ability to interpret dimensional data, a good understanding of statistical process control and be able to utilise computer systems. A relevant degree and/or Black/Green belt training is desirable, but not essential. A good understanding of Lean manufacturing processes and procedures is require.
